Engineering & Disaster Case Files

29 real cases with the official record, the numbers to handle with care, and the myths to avoid, for narrated faceless videos that respect the people involved.

What's inside

  • 29 case files on real events from 1879 to 2018: bridges, dams, buildings, aviation, space, process industry, rail and software
  • For each case: what happened, the official inquiry or report to find, where to start, numbers to handle with care, disputed points and myths, fresh angles, a sensitivity level and visual sources
  • A CSV index of all 29 cases you can sort and filter
  • 12 sensitivity rules for covering real deaths, living families, blame and ongoing cases, with a checklist
  • A niche style block: tone, a 9–12 minute structure, plain-English vocabulary, visual style, recurring segments and a description template
  • 8 series ideas and 20 cross-case video angles built only from the 29 cases
  • A complete, sourced script on the 1907 Quebec Bridge collapse, with a source list and claim-by-claim notes
Made for
  • Faceless creators starting or growing an engineering-failure, disaster or 'case file' channel
  • Writers who want a researched starting point and the official record for each case, not a list of topics
  • Creators who want to cover real tragedies without sensationalising them
Not for
  • Anyone looking for guaranteed views or income. No product can promise that
  • Copy-paste scripts. The case files are starting points; you confirm the facts and write the video
  • Graphic or shock content. The kit's rules exclude it

Questions

What exactly do I get?

A zip file with 8 Markdown guides (two of them holding the 29 case files) and 1 CSV index. The CSV opens in Google Sheets, Excel, LibreOffice, Notion and Airtable.

How do I receive it?

Instantly after PayPal confirms payment, usually within a minute. The order page shows your download link. Bookmark it: you can come back for a fresh link if the first one expires.

Are the facts checked?

For every case, the date, place, death and injury toll, investigating body and report name were checked on the date shown, against the official report where it could be opened or against reputable sources that cite it. Where sources differ, the case file gives the authoritative figure and the alternative, and the few open details are marked. You still need to confirm every fact you use in the official report before you publish; the kit tells you which report to find.

Can I just read the script on camera?

Please don't. Other buyers have the same script, and a word-for-word copy wouldn't be your own work. Use it as a model: confirm the facts, then write your own version.

Why aren't some famous cases included?

Cases with ongoing criminal trials or unfinished official investigations were left out on purpose. The Hyatt Regency walkway collapse is the full worked example in our Research & Fact-Check Kit, so it isn't repeated here.

Does it work with the Research & Fact-Check Kit?

Yes. The case files are designed to feed its method and claim log, but the kit works on its own too.

Will this make my channel grow?

We can't promise that, and nobody honestly can. The kit saves research time and helps you avoid the errors that get a channel corrected in the comments. Growth depends on your videos, your topic and luck.

Can I use it for client work?

Yes, in your own research and script work for clients. You may not resell or share the kit itself. See LICENSE.txt in the zip.

What if something is wrong with the files?

If a file won't open, something listed here is missing, or you find a factual error, email support@meowplaybook.com and the shop owner will fix it or send a replacement. Because this is a digital download, all sales are final once downloaded, so please read the free sample first.

Who made it?
